A Colorful Holiday Makeup Look

Saturday, December 13, 2014

Hey guys, I've got a colorful holiday makeup look for you today. I think it makes a kind of kitchy green and red Christmas look a lot more wearable and fun. I mostly used the Too Faced Everything Nice palette for this look because it has amazing vibrant colors that work perfect to create this kind of look.

To Create This Look:

1. Start off by priming your eyes with your favorite primer {I used the L'Oreal De-Crease Primer - my favorite}
2. Pat 'Paper Roses' from the Everything Nice palette across your whole lid {it's a deep shimmery pink and by patting this across your whole lid, it will really shine through the rest of the shadow we put on, really enhancing the pink that we'll use later}
3. Darken the crease using 'Be You' {this will add some amazing definition to your crease, and because it's kind of a plum shade, will work great with the pink and greens we are using}
4. Pat 'Too Glam' across the first 1/2 of your lid {this is a shimmery green/teal shade}
5. Pat 'Totally Fetch' across the middle part of your lid {This is the deep pink shimmer shade I was talking about, it looks great with the teal}

6. Darken up the crease again with 'Knockout' {this is a brown shade that's darker than 'Be You', so we're just taking a shade that's darker and deepening our crease}
7. Using 'Too Glam' again, pat it on the outer 1/3 of your lid, connecting it with the pink in the middle.

8. To blend the three shades on your lid together, take a big fluffy brush and just swipe it across your lid to blend everything out.
9. For a final bit of definition, take the slightest bit of 'Blackheart' from the Naked 3 Palette (or another shade similar to it, it's a dark plum shimmer shade) and blend it into your crease, bringing it down to your lower lash line to balance the look and define your lower lash line {this will finish off the definition we want}

10. Next up, we're going to line our eyes with some liquid liner. I'm only taking the liner from the middle of my lash line and then winging it out. This will be a lot less subtle than a full lined look, as we have a lot of color going on on our lids!
11. I'm finishing off my eyes with mascara. I coated my lashes with the Smashbox Full Exposure mascara and it really makes them look fluttery and lengthened.
12. I finished off the entire look with the Too Faced blush 'Papa Don't Preach' and then their 'Chocolate Soleil' Bronzer across my face and on my cheeks.

I really love how this look turned out, especially because I think it's a really wearable look for the holidays.

Hope you all liked this look!
