Here are five of my favorites for the month of August!

August Favorites

1. E.L.F. Small Tapered Brush: I love E.L.F. brushes because they're well made and they're only $3. This specific one is a favorite because it fits under your eyes perfectly, making it easy to set your under eyes with powder.
2. Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in 'Innocent': I've sung the praises of this product time and time again so it's no surprise it's a favorite on this list. The color 'Innocent' is a really pretty nude shade and it's one of those great 'Your Lips But Better' shades.
3. Swank Boutique Skinny Frontal Exposure Bralette: This bralette is quickly becoming my favorite thing to wear, ever. These are so comfortable, inexpensive, and fashionable. I love wearing them under t-shirts for extra support, but a lot of comfort. I love wearing them under dresses and tank tops, because they give an extra bit of pizazz to an outfit. They're only $12 so it's no wonder I went out and bought four of them.
4. Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy Nail Polish: I have been loving this gel nail polish because it's long-lasting, beautiful, and affordable. It stays on your nails without fail and has such a great range of colors. I have 'Wild Card', 'Pocket Aces', and 'Up the Ante'.
5. NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in 'Mysterious Red': I just want to declare to the world...I LOVE NARS. This Velvet Matte Lip Pencil is so easy to apply and stays on forever. It's such a great product and looks fantastic on the lips.

What are your favorites for the month?

Everyday Eyes

Sunday, August 16, 2015

For the past few weeks, I've been doing a variation of the same eye makeup - utilizing my Lorac Pro Palette 2 - and I've been really loving it. To change things up, I've been trying to experiment with my lip color. For today's post, I'm showing you how I do my everyday eye makeup - specifically with my favorite Nude Lip pairing.

1. Starting with the face - I used the NARS Creamy Concealer to cover up blemishes and dark circles - followed by the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder to bring down the shininess on my T-Zone. To finish off my base, I used my Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil to fill in and shape my eyebrows.
2. For my everyday eyes I start with a shadow from the Lorac Pro Palette 2, 'Light Brown' and just buff it into the crease with a big fluffy brush. Build up that shadow until you're at the intensity you want.
3. Next up, I brought 'Mocha' into the crease with the same fluffy brush to add more color and shimmer.
4. For my lid, I used a Rimmel Scandal Eyes eyeshadow stick in the shade 'Bluffing' for a shimmering base.
5. On top of the shadow stick, I used a flat brush to pat a mixture of 'Rose' and 'Beige'. Finally, to darken it up even more, I blended 'Cocoa' into the crease with the fluffy brush to darken it up fully.
6. For my lashes, I used Benefit's 'They're Real' mascara to coat my lashes.
7. For my lips, I used another Rimmel product, their Exaggerate Lip Liner Pencil in 'Innocent'. It leaves your lips matte and nude, which I think looks really lovely with the darkness of my eyes.
