Friday Favorites: New In Beauty Products

Friday, December 26, 2014

Hey guys! Hope you had a fantastic Christmas filled with love and happiness! I thought I'd share a few new products that I've gotten in the past week, including Christmas!
Friday Beauty Favorites
1. L'Oreal Telescopic Liquid Liner {I recently picked this up and I've been testing it out. It's pretty nice so far, but a bit difficult to make super precise lines; I think it's the size of the felt tip that's doing this. I'll do a more in-depth review soon}
2. E.L.F. Waterproof Shadow Liner Stick {I got this my last week in New York before coming home for break and I love this. There are so many different shades of this and it works amazing as a primer for your shadow, it makes everything brighter and more beautiful}
3. Buxom Lash Mascara {I got this as a gift in a pack of mini-sized beauty items and I'm straight up obsessed with it. It's such a fantastic product and really separates and lengthens your lashes like no other product}
4. Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume {Not really a new 'find', but I got it as a gift this year and it's been one of my favorite scents for a few years now! It's nice to finally have a big bottle and not the little rollerball that runs out quickly}
5. E.L.F. Studio Flawless Concealer Brush {Another new e.l.f. brush I picked up and this one is fantastic. It's a great shape to really blend in concealer and I also love using this to set my under-eye area post-concealer because the size of the brush pits perfectly there. Really affordable and a great product}

Do you have any new Beauty products you've been loving or trying out?

Friday Finds!

Friday, August 22, 2014

Hey guys! It's been awhile since I've done a 'Friday Finds' post, but I've accumulated a few things since I last did one so I thought I'd share them!

I have a pretty good group of products here, and I'm excited to either start using these, or continue using them, as they are all new to me!

First up is an Eyeliner that I've heard loads about. It's the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in 'Trooper' which is incredibly black and pigmented. I've been using this for about a week now and I've been really enjoying it! It's super liquidy and goes on the eye flawlessly. I think I'll review it in depth once I've really used it enough!

Next is that gorgeous eyeshadow palette. It's Sephora's Moonshadow Baked Palette 'In the Tropics' which has 10 beautiful, shimmery shades that are great for summer. I've been using the purple shades to create some really fun looks lately. Bonus, this was on sale for only $13 in stores so it's a great bargain!

I picked up a new Foundation and that's the L'Oréal True Match Magic Lumi Healthy Luminous Foundation in 'Classic/Soft Ivory'. I really enjoy both the formula and shades of L'Oréal's foundations and found that this was just a perfect shade for me. I'm going to do a review of this foundation as well, but so far, I really like how luminous this makes my skin!

Now for a mascara. I love mascara and was really excited to try out Maybelline's Big Eyes mascara. It's double sided, so you have one brush for your upper lashes, and a smaller one on the other side for the lower lashes. I think that's ingenious, because I've been wanted a smaller mascara wand just to do my lower lashes. I definitely have been enjoying using the small wand for my lower lashes.

Last up is a makeup brush I've been eyeing for awhile now. It's the Real Techniques Setting Brush. I love Real Techniques so I'm surprised it took me this long to purchase this brush. It's the perfect size for setting your under-eye concealer so I think it's perfect!

Products mentioned:

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner 'Trooper'  $18
Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette 'In the Tropics' On SALE $13

That's all I got for this weeks Friday Finds! I hope you enjoyed! I'm excited to keep using these products!

Friday Finds!

Friday, July 25, 2014

Happy Friday!! I've got another post about some things I've picked up over the last couple weeks! These are probably some of my spendiest finds of late, but I felt it was the right time to pick them up!

First, I picked up something that I've been debating on buying for a long time. Mostly because it is a whopping $30 and even though I've heard countless good reviews on it, I was hesitant to spend so much! That being said, I wanted to truly experience it and had Sephora giftcard so I finally got the Benefit Porefessional pore minimizing primer! I've only tried it out once or twice so far and I like it so far but I want to give it a long test run and then I'll make a post about it!

Next up is another high-end product, the NARS Creamy Concealer which will put you back $29(!!!!!!!!). I got the shade 'Vanilla' and am excited to try it out. I hear so many good things about it so I'll be very dissapointed if it doesn't work out!

Next is the Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Highlighter Stick which costs $11 and you can pick it up at Target. I got the 'Sparkling Sands' shade which is gorgeous. I really love this so far, it gives such a lovely sheen on the cheeks and makes for a very natural highlight.

Look at that beautiful shine!

 Lastly, I recently picked up this L'Oreal Color Riche Nail Polish in the shade 'Now You Sea Me' (adorbs), which I have been wearing non stop since I got it. I love blue polishes and this one is the perfect green-tinted blue that looks great with any look!

So that's it for today's 'Friday Finds' posts, I hope you all enjoyed it! I definitely have a lot to test out!

Friday Finds

Friday, July 18, 2014

Hello! Welcome to another 'Friday Finds' post! Today I'm coming to you with a few products that I really was excited to purchase and try out!

I've got a whopping 8 products that I've picked up in the past week or so and I'l share them below!

The first product is the Pacifica Natural Minerals Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream which I picked up at Target. I am always looking for new BB Creams because I absolutely adore them and find they work best on my skin! This stuff is pretty expensive (it goes for about $13) but it is a really naturally made product with great ingredients that are super healthy for your skin.

The bottle promotes this product as age defying, shade-matching, and illuminating. When I try the product out, I'll be looking for those characteristics in the BB Cream.

Next up is the L'Oreal Visible Lift CC Eye Concealer. I got the shade 'Light' and it cost me about $10. I was really looking forward to using this because it helps conceal your dark circles and give you a little bit of brightness and helps hide aging!

I picked up the Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Adjusting Bronzing Veil in 'Light to Medium'. I love this brand for blushes, bronzers, and highlighters so I was excited to try out a new bronzer. I had been looking for a bronzer that was a little more high-quality than the Rimmel one I usually use but a little less expensive than the High-End bronzers. I got this at Target for $13 but there was an amazing sale on Physicians Formula products - buy 1, get 1 free! So it was an even better deal!

Also, look at how beautiful this product is!? I love the sun design!

The 'Free' part of my buy 1, get 1 free Physicians Formula deal was the Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls in 'Translucent Pearl'. This stuff is SO beautiful. I had been looking for a new highlighter and this was just the perfect purchase. I already tried this out because it looked so gorgeous and it looks amazing on the face.

Next, I picked up the L'Oreal Magic De-Crease Eyelid Primer which I had been eyeing for AGES!!! It runs for about $8 which I was a little unhappy about but I was willing to try. I have a lot of trouble with getting product in the crease and I had high hopes for this. (Spoiler Alert: It's AMAZING and well worth the price if you have this problem!)

I also picked up the NEW!!!! Maybelline The NUDES Palette which is one of the first really big drugstore palettes released, so I was so excited to try it out. I did a whole review post on this product so I won't talk about it much right now, so all I'll say is that I really like it!

Next, I picked up an Ulta Glitter Eye Top Coat in the color 'Fairy Princess'. It was on sale for $4 which was 1/2 off, so it was a great deal! I adore this product so much, it gives the best glitter and fun little shimmer to your lids. All you have to do is either apply it over your lids with a wet eyeshadow brush but it also works really well on top of other shimmery shades and on cream shadow!

The last thing I picked up was just your run of the mill eyelash curler. I picked up the Sally Hansen 'Flirty Eyes' eyelash curler for $5 at Ulta. I needed a new one, and this one has been working well!

That's it for today's 'Friday Finds'. I'm really excited about all these products and will let you know my favorites and the flops!

Have a great weekend friends!

Friday Finds: June Recap + Favorites and Flops

Friday, July 11, 2014

Hey guys! As you might know, I do my 'Friday Finds' post almost every Friday where I share things I've bought recently. I thought, since June just came to a close, I would do a wrap-up post of this month's finds.

I had two (here and here) 'Friday Finds' posts in June and one in late May (here) which I decided to include in this post. I'm just going to give a bit of a recap of the products and share how these products ended up working out, which were my favorites, and which were flops!

Favorites

My Favorite Friday Finds (wow alliteration) of June start off with the Maybelline Master Shape Eye Pencil in Soft Brown. Since I got it, I've been using it pretty regularly. The color is really natural and matches my brows perfectly and the spooli at the end is probably the best I've ever used.

Here's one favorite that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone: Benefit's Rockateur Blush. I won't get into this again as there's a whole bunch of info about this on my June Favorites post but, I LOVE THIS!!!! (Look at how pretty it is!)

My next favorite is the Boots Extracts Coconut Body Butter. First off, it smells amazing, but it also moisturizes my skin and leaves me all smooth and soft and silky!

My last favorite is the Boots Botanics Cleansing Foam Wash in All Bright. This stuff is soooooo amazing. It foams, which I love, and leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed and very clean. I also like that you barely need any product in order to get the job done. I have so much of it left!

Flops

The first flop was the Botanics Triple Age Renewal Eye Serum. I really wanted to pick up an eye cream that would help reduces wrinkles under my eye, because I have a bunch right now and I hoped this would help. For the past month that I've been using this, I've noticed absolutely no difference. Zippo, Nada, NOTHING! I'm so disappointed by this, especially since I really like the brand. :(

My second flop is the Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye Shadow in Audacious Asphalt. As I mentioned in it's Friday Finds post, I got this on clearance, so I picked it up. It's pretty apparent why this was on clearance. At first, I really liked it; I love gray and silver shadows and thought it would look nice on the lid. It ended up not having the best color payoff and creased really easily. I also didn't like it as a base because it was too dark!

So that's my wrap-up of my Friday Finds in June! I really liked doing this post, and I hope you guys did too, because it gives me a chance to recap what I've gotten and what has been successful and what has been pretty awful!

Stay tuned for more Friday Finds posts and more posts in general, including product reviews of new products out in stores now!

Have a great night!

Friday Finds: Magnificent Maybelline

Friday, June 6, 2014

Hello!!! It's another Friday (THANK GOODNESS) which means another addition of Friday Finds!! I know you're like SO excited....

This little 'Friday Finds' post that I have already done a second installment in, is potentially very disastorous for my wallet.... But alas, now I have an excuse to buy more.

All five of the beauty items I bought for today's post were purchased at Walgreens during an AMAZING SALE!!!!! This all didn't cost me that much. The four makeup items were only around 15 dollars - which is insane.

Here are the lovely things I've purchased!

1. Maybelline Color Tattoo in the shade 15 - Audacious Asphalt. First off, that name is amazing and I never thought that asphalt could in fact, be audacious, but maybelline has proved me wrong apparently.  I've only used Color Tattoo a few times and it's not my favorite product but it was on sale for $3 which I thought was a great deal. I love silvery/grey eye colors so I thought I would give it a go!

2. Rimmel's Natural Bronzer in 021 - Sunlight. I've been branching out with bronzers recently, actually making an effort to try a few different brands in order to find a product I really love. Walgreens had this a dollar off today so I decided to try it. I really like Rimmel products and I'm a huge fan of their translucent setting powder so I hoped this would be similar! I hope this works out!!

3. A tried and tested favorite - the Maybelline Falsies Mascara - was my third Friday Find. As many people can probably attest, this is a great mascara. And I was incredibly lucky that these $9 mascaras were on sale for FOUR dollars today. I had to restrain myself from buying about 30 more because I LOVE Maybelline mascaras.

Just look at the difference this mascara makes. It's just a really quality product!

Look at my left eye!!! Madness!!

4. Maybelline Master Shape Eye Pencil in Soft Brown. I know I'm a self proclaimed lover of the Milani brow products but I decided that since this brow pencil was on sale for just about $3, I would try something new. I really like the color!

5. Lastly, I purchased the John Frieda Hair Dye in Medium Natural Brown. Right now I've got a few different colors in my hair and I am really really ready to go back to my brown hair. I've used this dye before and have been pleased with the results - especially for a box dye.

That's it for todays Friday Finds!!! I will definitely start using these products and let you know which ones I like - they might even become a part of my June favorites!

Happy Weekend!!!

Friday Finds: Blush and BB Cream

Friday, May 30, 2014

Happy Friday!!! The happiest day all week!

It's especially happy for me because I've purchased a few new things that I am going to share with you in a post (that will probably be repeated, hence the alliterative name) called 'Friday Finds!"

These are just a few beauty related things I've bought recently that I want to share!

  1. Benefit's Rockateur Blush - Now I know this blush is pricey ($28) and I think that there are other, more affordable blushes out there that are just as pretty, but I've had my eye on Rockateur for months now. Everytime I'm in Sephora or Ulta, I go by and brush some across my cheeks in envy. So I decided to take the plunge and buy it. I'm very pleased because I know this will last me a long time and the color is stunning! As you can see above, it's deep and shimmery and peachy and pink and just lovely!
  2. To pair with my fancy new blush I got the Real Techniques Blush Brush - I am a HUGE fan of Real Techniques and when my (not so good quality) blush brush fell apart a few days ago, I went straight for my favorite brush brand. I absolutely love this brush. Using it is easy and product goes on flawlessly. And to top it off, it's really affordable. This brush only put me back $9.
  3. Maybelline's Dream Fresh BB Cream - I love this BB cream. In fact, this is a repurchase, as I ran out of my last bottle. It's light, smooth, and feels great on my skin. I don't use foundation regularly but it's nice to have some light coverage all over to even out my skin tone and this does the trick!
  4. Next is another Maybelline winner, the Instant Age Rewind Under Eye Concealer. -This should come as no surprise, as this is my favorite under eye, dark circle concealer out there. It's cheap, lasts forever, and comes in tons of shades as well as a brightener. This is my third or fourth repurchase of this awesome product!
  5. To verge away from makeup, I picked up the Pantene Smooth Lisse Argan Oil Serum. - This stuff is magic. It's a more affordable version of Moroccan Oil's Argan Oil - which I have used and liked a lot - but it's cheaper, less greasy in my hair and smells awesome. This stuff lasts me a long time as you don't really need much (only a  small squeeze or two into the ends of your hair) and it's only $8 bucks. Plus, you get more for that $8 bucks - whereas with Moroccan Oil you get a much smaller container for more money!

These 5 products are some of my old favorites and soon to be new favorites and all totally worth buying. I hope you guys enjoyed seeing some of my friday finds and I would encourage everyone to check out some of these because they're all really great - and mostly affordable!

Have a great weekend!
