Sunday Style: Sleek and Black

Sunday, January 4, 2015

Happy New Year! Here's my first outfit post of 2015 - a sleek black outfit that is perfect for a night out.

I've paired this amazing top and skirt comobo from Warehouse and then some black tights and black high heels along with a black cardigan. I wanted to go for the super black and sleek look, with bits of color showing up on my lips and on my earrings!

I love this outfit because the skirt and top aren't connected, so you can wear them separately or together, like I did here. It's really flattering and pretty as well!

A Holiday Party / Festive Look

Monday, December 22, 2014

Hey guys! Hope you're all enjoying your time off for the holidays, I know I am. Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, it's been nice to just relax at home with family and friends. I'm back now, with a super cute outfit for you. It's a Holiday Party Festive Look, which I cannot wait to wear to my annual family Christmas party in the coming week!

The dress is from Warehouse, and it's super tight and fitted, with gold accents in the form of little zippers. It's super comfortable and the red color makes it incredibly appropriate for any Christmas Party you're going to.

I paired it with black tights and black wedges, plus a gold necklace and some super cute Reindeer antlers for that added silliness :)

Casual + Cats

Friday, December 19, 2014

Hi guys! I thought I'd bring you an outfit post today and I'm once again living up to the 'Meow' in my blog name. I seem to go for a lot of clothes that have cats on them, even though I'm probably more of a dog person when I think about it.
Today's outfit is super casual, cute, and comfortable; three of my favorite words to describe my fashion sense.

I just ordered the shirt off ASOS and it was only around $8. It's a gorgeous peplum top, with cute pastel cats all over it. It's a woven fabric, so it's incredibly breathable and comfortable, which makes sense because it's actually a pajama top! I know, I know, SHOCKING!? Probably not, it's a bit obvious when you notice its super casual and sleepy vibe.

Sometimes I think it's fun to mix it up with what you wear and this is definitely a way to mix it up. A lot of the time, cute pajama tops or bottoms can double as part of your everyday wardrobe.

I paired it with my favorite Boyfriend Jeans from Uniqlo and then my Steve Madden Espradrilles.

It's not the most 'wintry' outfit, but I don't always want to dress in dark colors when it's cold; it's fun to mix it up!

I hope you liked this outfit today, I know I did. Especially because this shirt is so appropriate for me as I blog on Meow Emily :)

Sunday Style: A Chunky Sweater

Sunday, December 14, 2014

Happy Sunday! I've only got a few days left of the semester and I've been studying hard for finals but today I'm bringing you another outfit, featuring one of my favorites sweaters. It's a chunky orange knit sweater and it's perfectly warm and comfortable for the cold winter, while also being casual.

The sweater is a bit out of my comfort zone, as I tend to go for very dark sweaters and cardigans, but I think the pop of the orange is exciting and something different. I also love the fact that the back of the sweater zips completely down, which makes it a bit more unique than a normal sweater. I've also worn the sweater with the zipper facing the front, with a white camisole underneath, and it looks great!

I paired the sweater with Uniqlo Boyfriend Jeans, some Steve Madden Espadrilles, and my favorite chunky Forever 21 flower earrings.

Sunday Style: Star Sweater

Sunday, November 30, 2014

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing holiday weekend, I know I did. It was amazing to just take some time with family. I'm sad to leave home to go back to school and New York, but I've got a concert and event and lots of fun things to do when I get back (not to mention a lot of homework and finals to prepare for). It's only three weeks until I'm back home so I'm just excited to get this semester done!

I've got an outfit for you today featuring one of my favorite sweaters - I got it from H&M a few years ago and it's held up surprisingly well. I paired it with a black dress I got at a boutique in my hometown and then made it a bit fancier with tights and boots!

I love the detail on the skirt part of the dress

A Thanksgiving Outfit

Thursday, November 27, 2014

Happy Thanksgiving! Here's the outfit I wore for the day (even though I took these photos a few days before - I knew I'd be so busy cooking so I wanted to get it ready) and I love it for the holiday. It's so cute and festive and it's super flowy - which is perfect for the copious amounts of food I like to eat on Thanksgiving.

Ain't No Rain Gonna Bring Me Down

Saturday, October 4, 2014

Happy Weekend!! I'm so excited because I'm currently visiting my best friend at school in Massachusetts. We're having such a fun time and it's so amazing to get away from the hustle of New York to a campus surrounded by trees and greenery!

Here's my outfit today, I decided to go with some skinny jeans and comfy shoes since we walked around a lot! I've been loving wearing typical "summer" clothes in the Autumn because why the hell not? I also popped on one of my dad's old, chunky sweaters which made it a lot more cozy and cute!

Unfortunately, I did not bring a rain jacket OR umbrella to Massachusetts and it's currently SUPER rainy - on the day we decided to do a lot of traveling around town. Moral of the story....bring a rain jacket with you to the East Coast...or anywhere you go...plus rain boots...and an umbrella.

Okay, I'm off to dry my hair and cozy up with some coffee and enjoy the beautiful rain from INSIDE! :)

Sunday Stripes

Sunday, September 28, 2014

Happy Sunday! Today I'm sharing a comfy and casual look that's perfect for the transition between summer and fall!

I paired one of my favorite long tee's from Brandy Melville with tights and wedges (and a pop of color from some red lipstick) to make a night and daytime appropriate look. Since it's so casual and simple, I popped on a statement necklace - one of my favorites - to really dress it up a bit more.

Even though I went dressy with this, It's also incredibly easy to dress it down. Pop on converse instead of wedges and put on some nude liptick and voila, instant casual!

I love this shirt and definitely think it'll be a good staple piece in my closet!

Do you like this look? It's super comfortable, which I love, and is easy to style!
